Install in 5 steps

Until we're live on the Chrome Web Store, you'll sideload the extension directly. Takes about 60 seconds.

  1. 1

    Download the extension

Grab the latest chrome-extension/ folder from your PINMAKR install (or download the zipped beta from your account dashboard once available). Unzip it to a stable location on your computer โ€” Chrome reads files from this folder live.

  2. 2

    Open Chrome extensions page

Visit chrome://extensions in your address bar (or click โ‹ฎ โ†’ Extensions โ†’ Manage extensions).

  3. 3

    Enable Developer mode

Toggle the Developer mode switch in the top-right corner.

  4. 4

    Load unpacked

Click Load unpacked and select the chrome-extension/folder you unzipped in step 1. PINMAKR will appear in your extensions list.

  5. 5

    Pin it & sign in

Click the puzzle-piece icon in your toolbar, find PINMAKR, and pin it for quick access. Open the popup, paste your account email or API URL in Settings, and start browsing Pinterest. Demand scores will overlay automatically.

Common questions

Will Chrome auto-update the extension?

Sideloaded extensions don't auto-update. We'll email you when a new version is ready. When we ship to the Chrome Web Store (soon), updates will be automatic.

Is this safe? Why does it want Pinterest access?

The extension only reads pin data on Pinterest pages to compute demand scores and capture keywords. It never sends data anywhere except your own PINMAKR backend (which you control). The full source is in your repo โ€” chrome-extension/.

Can I use it without signing in to PINMAKR?

The extension calls your PINMAKR backend, so you'll need an account. The free tier includes the extension at no extra cost.

When does the official Chrome Web Store launch?

We're in the final review polish. Expect a public listing in the coming weeks โ€” sign up for the launch email on the homepage to get notified.
